A Ukrainian soldier says he was smuggled out from behind enemy lines stuffed inside a sofa on the trailer of a car through six Russian checkpoints as Moscow's war with Kyiv rages on. Artem Lukianenko, a 25 year old soldier with Ukraine's 28th Mechanized Brigade described his great escape in a report published Tuesday by Ukrainian news outlet Hromadske. But Zhenia freaked out within minutes of being inside the sofa, so Lukianenko took his place and Zhenia stayed behind. As far as I could determine, none of the accused collaborators had. The administrators of the partisan forums clearly wanted to raise suspicion — to let accused collaborators know that they were being monitored, too.

A massive fire erupted at an oil depot in Crimea after it was hit by two of Ukraine's drones, a Russia-appointed official there reported Saturday, the latest in a series of attacks on the annexed peninsula as Russia braces for an expected Ukrainian counteroffensive. Mikhail Razvozhayev, the Moscow-installed governor of Sevastopol, a port city in Crimea, posted videos and photos of the blaze on his Telegram channel. Razvozhayev said the oil depot was attacked by "two enemy drones," and four oil tanks burned down. Razvozhayev said the oil depot fire did not cause any casualties and would not hinder fuel supplies in Sevastopol.
